My work is about past histories, those
experiences and memories that form who we become as we mature. Using organic elements, I
make my statements. I believe that
nature is a wonderful example of the possibility of a rebirth of life and
spirit, such as plant life that emerges from the dry and cracked earth in the
desert, or from the blacken smothering volcanic ash, or after a wild fire
scorches the earth. As a fourth generation Angelino, with a Mexican-American
grandmother, my work is greatly influence by the southern California
