Aiko Morioka Aiko
Morioka is a rising figurative bronze sculptor whose representational and
abstract creations are defined by graceful lines and a meditative
quality. She is collected
internationally and her work has been published in numerous art catalogues
and featured in regional and national publications on more than 30 occasions
during her short career. She installed
her first monumental public sculpture, Windows
of Wisdom, in 2006.
In 2008 Aiko Morioka was named the
Grand Prize winner of Sculptural Pursuit magazine’s contest themed “Universal Peace”. Her abstract sculpture Balanced Vision graced the cover of their Spring
issue. Southwest Art magazine’s July issue featured
Morioka’s figurative sculpture Within. |
